From December 3 (Feast of St. Francis Xavier) through December 12 (Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe), our parish will pray a special Novena in honor of our Patron Saint and Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas.

Our Lady of Guadalupe has long held a cherished place in the life of the Church.

In 1895, Pope Leo XIII formally declared her Patroness of the Americas.

In 1945, Pope Pius XII honored her as “Queen of Mexico and Patroness of the Americas.”

In 1999, Pope John Paul II reaffirmed her title and elevated her feast on December 12 to an obligatory memorial across the Americas.
