Church Mission Statement
Originally founded in 1874 as St. Patrick’s, St. Francis Xavier Parish in 1903 embraced all immigrant people by following the missionary zeal of our patron. In response to this call, we now embrace English, Brazilian, and Spanish speaking Roman Catholics and includes a Tridentine Mass (1962 Missal) taking place at Sacred Heart Chapel in Yarmouth Port. In our love and zeal as disciples of the Lord, we strive to remain true to our Holy Roman Catholic Faith. We witness to this Faith: by our celebration of the Sacraments, by our continual formation in the teachings of the Church, and by striving always to serve the needs of the community in Hyannis, especially the poor.
